The questions we get asked
Is this an official certification?
No, and nobody can issue one: the AI Act creates no state certification. Article 4 sets an obligation of means, ensuring a "sufficient level" of AI literacy. Our attestation, issued in your name, documents precisely this training effort. Beware of offers promising an "official AI Act certification": it does not exist.
Do I really need training?
Article 4 has applied since February 2025 to any organization that uses or provides AI. The law does not make training mandatory as such, but it requires you to be able to demonstrate a sufficient level of AI literacy. A completed course and a dated attestation are the simplest way to prove it the day you are asked.
What changed on 2 August 2026?
It is a key deadline in the AI Act calendar: the transparency obligations of Article 50 apply, the penalty regime ramps up and the national authorities are in place. Better to have documented your AI literacy effort before that date than after.
I read the AI Act was postponed. Is that true?
Partly, and not the part that concerns you. Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, in force since 27 July 2026, postpones the obligations on high-risk systems: Annex III to 2 December 2027, Annex I to 2 August 2028. Article 4 on AI literacy, the one that applies to any organization using AI, has not moved by a single day. It has been running since 2 February 2025.
How long does it take?
About 2 hours in total, in lessons of a few minutes that you follow at your own pace. Each module opens with a short video, then a reading, then a quiz. You take the exam when you are ready.
I already master AI, is this useful?
You can go straight to the exam: once passed, it triggers your attestation. The lessons remain available if you want to lock down a specific point: Article 4, the 4 risk levels, or how to set up compliance.
How does the attestation verification work?
Each attestation carries a unique code. Anyone, an employer, a client, an auditor, can enter it on troie.app to confirm it is authentic, in your name and with its date. Nothing to download: the proof is public and permanent.
Can I train my team?
Yes. The team packs give one access and one named attestation per person, plus a dashboard to track who is trained. It is the most direct way to document compliance across the whole organization.
